Rajamouli shows his other face

Ace director Rajamouli has showed his other face when one of his followers on the social networking site blamed Telugu directors for limiting themselves to commercial films, rather than trying their hand at realistic and thought provoking films.

"Mana telugu jaathi cheppukodagga movies ravadam ledu. Ante mana darsakulaki chetakada, teyalera, tese satta leda. Jaathi garvincha dagga movies tese satta mana vallaki leda, una teyalera, andaru star directors anukuntaru but no one is good director. Ippati telugu darsakulu andaru kalisi dookandi hussain sagar lo sagam daridram potundi," tweeted one of his follower.

What surprised everyone is that Rajamouli who is known for his calm and composed nature seems to have lost his cool, if his shocking reply is taken into consideration.

"Solution baagundhi Annayya! Kaani nee Lanti audience kooda dookesthe poorthi gaa daridram vadilipoddi gaa. Daa vacheyyi dookeddam!," tweeted Rajamouli.

We can't completely blame our directors, as the audience here preferred to watch commercial flicks unlike the Tamil folks who always encouraged innovative ideas. Even some of good films like Vedam and Prasthanam struggled to recover the investments in Tollywood. The latest film to join this list is the critically acclaimed Sri Rama Rajyam.

Mostly, the taste of the audience in a region will influence the filmmakers as no one wants to risk their lives. After all, filmmaking is a very complex business. Yada 'audience' Tada 'directors', Right!!!
